Mekinist
Mekinist may react with a few other medicines (see Mekinist Drug Interactions).
You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to taking this medication if you have:
- Liver disease, such as hepatitis, cirrhosis, or liver failure
- Kidney disease, such as kidney failure (renal failure)
- Heart disease
- Lung disease or problems breathing
- Any eye conditions or problems with vision
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Any allergies, including to foods, dyes, or preservatives.
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
- Pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (see Mekinist and Pregnancy)
- Breastfeeding (see Mekinist and Breastfeeding).
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

An overdose with this medicine can lead to potentially serious problems. It is important to seek immediate medical attention if you or someone else may have overdosed on this or any other medication.
